Polit’IF is a search engine specialized in the French political system. It is possible to search amongst all politicians since 1789, their political parties and associated ideologies.
The website also features a list of all French Presidents since 1947, as well as a list of all members of the current French Government.
Technical details
Using Wikidata and DBpedia as sources of information, the application was developed as a university project at INSA Lyon’s Computer Science Department as a first approach to the semantic web and requests languages such as SPARQL.The application is written in Javascript and runs 100% client-side.
